'The better you know yourself, the better your relationship with the rest of the world'

- Toni Collette

The first and most important relationship is the one with ourselves. Our past experiences have shaped the person we are now. But that doesn't mean that defines us, and it doesn't mean we can't ditch those habits or negative beliefs that really don't work anymore.

By having a deeper understanding of ourselves, we are more able to create much better relationships with others in our world, whether personal, romantic, or professional.

My guests come from varied backgrounds and share their stories and experiences. Maybe similar to yours, or giving you a different perspective.

So why not sit down, grab a cuppa and choose one of the episodes to listen to.

Some people really do treat their relationships as though they are disposable, like they can be thrown away when they aren't going well.

But the cost can be much higher than when you trade in your mobile phone or TV because you see something more inviting being advertised.

  • Its a cost to you financially as well as emotionally.
  • You arent likely to be too upset for long if your new phone doesn't have the functionality you expected
  • If you continue to hop from one relationship to another, you are more than likely to take all the same issues into the new one.

Wendy explores the implcations of not be bothered to put effort into your relationship, and giving up without trying to find a way forward.

About Wendy Capewell - Relationship Specialist

Wendy believes that many couples leave it too late to do anything about their relationship. They ignore the signs, and so resentment builds and they either limp along feeling less than happy, accepting their lot. - that's the way it is. Or they get to the point where they can't take any more and leave.

There is a better way, and that is what Wendy wants to encourage. She works with couples who are in love, and love each other and want to make their relationship work. They are committed to doing whatever it takes, accepting that relationships are about two imperfect people who are committed to each other and their relationship.
